628 starred tables, four fewer than last year, and 18 new starred restaurants in Paris. The Michelin Guide has unveiled its 2020 list for France.
Three restaurants are awarded a third star this year :
- Kei, Kei Kobayashi (Paris, France)
- L'Oustau de Baumanière, Glenn Viel (Les Baux-de-Provence, France)
- Christopher Couanceau (La Rochelle, France)
Eleven restaurants were awarded a second star this year, including "L'abysse au Pavillon Ledoyen" by Chef Yannick Alleno and "Taillevent" by Chef David Bizet.
About fifty restaurants have been awarded their first star this year!
A few disappointments, several chefs have lost stars... Notably the Paul Bocuse restaurant, this mythical restaurant which had held three stars for more than fifty years, has lost its third star in the Michelin Guide.
Five other double-starred chefs have lost a rank, and about fifty restaurants have lost their only star, such as "L'auberge du Vert Mont" by Chef Florent Ladeyn..
